Service counselling for persons with disabilities

In the service counselling for persons with disabilities, it will be assessed what support you need. In the service counselling, the person and their family will receive advice, guidance and information about the disability services available.

The aim of the service counselling is to plan the services together with the client, the family and other cooperation parties. In the service counselling, an individual guidance plan will be made regarding how the persons with disabilities can get the right kind of services and support that best suit their needs. The services include the transportation service, personal assistance and housing-related arrangements.

The wellbeing services county of Southwest Finland offers this service starting from 1 January 2023.

In the service counselling for persons with disabilities, an individual service plan will be made, on which the support services and the amount will be determined. The plan will be made together with you and, if necessary, your guardian or family member. The application for the service counselling for persons with disabilities must include a statement from a general practitioner and other experts if necessary.
