Contraception and sexual health clinic, Turku

At the contraception and sexual health clinic you can get help with all matters related to contraception and sexuality, supporting your own thoughts and plans. The contraception clinic services are intended for residents of the City of Turku under the age of 26 as well as for students from other municipalities who are studying in Turku.

Pregnancy terminations are carried out at the TYKS department of gynecology and infertility investigations are conducted at health centers.

Residents of Turku under the age of 18 can visit the clinic for gynecological matters without the need for contraception.

If you are under 20 years old and you have a valid prescription for contraception, please contact our contraception clinic so you can get your contraception conveniently from our vending machine located on our premises.

We offer following services regardless of age:

• contraception planning within 3 months after an abortion
• contraception planning within 2 years after giving birth
• sterilization matters

Sexual Counseling

Sexual counseling addresses questions related to sexuality, sex, gender, and relationships. You can come to the appointment alone or together with your partner(s).

You can contact us by phone. For non-urgent matters related to sexual counseling, you can contact us when you are considering issues related to sexuality or regarding appointment bookings.

The service is intended for clients under 26 years old in the entire Varha area. If you are a client of maternity or child health clinics, you may use the service until your children reach school age. Additionally, in Turku, the service is available to student health care clients regardless of age.

A one-time fee of 56.70 € may be charged for an unused service

• The fee will not be charged:
• if the appointment is canceled by 3 PM on the previous business day
• when there is an acceptable or unavoidable reason for absence without cancellation
• persons under 18 years of age
